“New York” is a song about moving away from home told through vivid imagery. The chorus chords create a sense of falling as they descend to places you weren’t expecting them to go. “New York” background synthesizers are a nice touch and David Ayscues voice is as angelic as it is enjoyable. This is David Ayscues second release and with his wordsmith abilities to relate a story I’m looking forward to what is in the future for him.
I might be moving to NYC within a couple months to pursue new contacts in that city and still maintain my newfound friends in Los Angeles and I hope I’m so lucky to land in Chelsea or any other area of midtown. Having moved around a bunch and knowing the nostalgia that comes with always going I can relate to “New York” on a very personal and real level. Thank you David Ayscue
