San Diego based The Whiskey Circle latest EP is uplifting

With infectious and uplifting female vocals that bounce around as you do in indie rock.  This California based group released into the valley on 2017 and are still out promoting it to blogs.  Though I feel a little late to the game sharing this it was really fun and reminded me of acts I’d seen open for the Foo Fighters at CalJam.  Wicked good vibes coming through this act.

“Gather round the fire. Grab your flasks, your beers and your smokes. It’s time to join the circle.

The Whiskey Circle is a family joined together by their love of good music; a circle of good friends telling stories and playing music. With female-driven vocals, a groovy rhythm section and infectious guitar riffs this California female-fronted rock band delivers a wave of sound full of surf, psych, folk and pop influences.

The Whiskey Circle released their Self-Titled EP in January of 2014 after founding members, Leanna and Brett Patterson recorded their first set of songs. Over the next 6 months The Whiskey Circle continued to perform around California usually just as a duo, but occasionally adding in friends for larger shows. They played at venues such as Music Box, House of Blues, The Casbah, Soda Bar and Pappy and Harriet’s while also recording their Blue EP with producer Daniel Cervantes (Howlin Rain, Creature and the Woods, Blind Owl). They released the Blue EP in October of 2014 through a promotional concert with 91X. On June 17, 2016 they released their “High Deserts” EP and crafted a new lineup to complete their full sound, adding Ben Johnson on drums, percussion and keys. The Whiskey Circle released their 4th and longest EP, “Into The Valley” in Summer of 2017, receiving local and regional accolades for the 6-track release.

The trio has been working on new music over the last year, reworking their sound while reminiscing about their recent trips across the country. “Our music is about spending time on the road with the people you love. It’s about growing old, learning from your mistakes, young love and the wonderful array of emotions that come with traveling and finding your purpose,” says guitarist and singer Leanna Patterson. Expect new releases in Fall of 2018!”
