Groovy drumming kicks off this dark and moody atmospheric yet driving piece called “Running” by The Girl Who Cried Wolf. The Girl Who Cried Wolf is a band hailing from Belgium that has been releasing music since 2017. Despite it having such an atmospheric sound the listener will be happy with the authentic and organic sound of the instruments played. The chorus is infectious but given the atmospheric timbre of the arrangement it is not so in your face like pop-punk but it is not so dreamy that it’ll be overlooked. At about 2:40 there is an epic legato guitar solo that is fueled with screaming fuzz and ducks and dives around a melody. Re-enter the chorus one final time before an outro that features the empty practice space where the video was filmed as well as band member profiles. I’d recommend this act for fans of bands such as; Metric, Portishead, Chelsea Wolfe, Emma Ruth Rundle, Fever Ray. Please see attached artist biography below.
