Tim Atlas “Dizzy”

Driving and upbeat with a fast groovy effected guitar track taking the lead into the verse where it is joined by soft introspective vocals from Tim Atlas.  “Dizzy” wastes no time getting to the hook.  “Dizzy” also features a nice set of more complex chords than what you might be used to listening to basic triad bands.  A major selling point for me was the way the chords descended during certain sections of the “Dizzy” that led into other section, specifically at the end of the chorus.  The bridge would almost be hard rock played by another band but Tim Atlas maintains control of the dynamics during his breakdown and reintroduces the four on the floor sound that is so familiar in western music.  Definitely worth a listen if you’re feeling yourself and feeling like dancing “Dizzy” by Tim Atlas.

FROM THE ARTIST:

Disco is back, baby! L.A. based Tim Atlas brings a funky yet breezy energy to his new groove “Dizzy.” Atlas creates R&B-infused indie pop, delivering a soundtrack for the soul. The self-described introvert makes music you can connect to, get lost to, and unwind to. “Dizzy” embodies all that and more.

Danceable yet laid-back, “Dizzy” is a feeling we’ve all felt before. Diving into the anxieties of a relationship, Atlas relays his personal experience as he sings, “we go back & forth like a swing-set.” Smooth vocals lay atop this 80’s inspired track, with a disco-infused soundscape that’s both dreamy and pop-leaning at the same time.

The year have seen big strides for the buzzing artist. Atlas’ single “Compromised” has over 15 million streams on Spotify and he has received attention from numerous publications including ClashHunger MagazineVarianceEarmilk, and more.

Atlas will be performing a single release show on Jan 31st at The Satellite in Los Angeles.

Atlas has already made waves in the indie pop world, backed by artists like RihannaPharell, and more. With an April 2019 EP underway, we’re excited about what 2019 has in store for the emerging artist.
