Alex McArtor “Touch”, dark and brooding contemporary writing

A recent release that sparked interest was “Touch” from Alex McArtor.  “Touch” by Alex McArtor was intense because of the strong vocal performance that features a certain level of modern cynicism that is often found in contemporary writing.  The instrumental from the song really captured my attention in the guitar performance because of the brooding nature of the writing.  The song might be for fans of Metric and invoke a sense of darkness.
Recently Alex McArtor has been working on finishing her education at a boarding school in New Hampshire.  Check out an embedded stream of “Touch” by Alex McArtor below and learn more about her!

“Alex McArtor is a 16 year old singer/songwriter. Touch is one of the initial releases from her first album, Spoken Word. A chaotic piece that creates an atmosphere of feeling empty but yet fulfilled. Movies like Trainspotting and The Velvet Goldmine inspired Alex to try and recreate cinematography through sound.”
