Starts with some good ole down home riffage before a Steve Miller esque rock and roll beat joins the playful guitar. Boo Riley has a voice that reminds me of a number of classic rock singers but none too particular. Smooth tones and uplifting music makes this a somewhat cinematic piece because I can imagine it in the opening scene of a lighthearted movie. Dynamically it is different then other things you’ll hear out there in the way that it settles into the chorus rather than making a dynamic leap, it is a refreshing change and makes it sound extra groovy. Boo Riley aims to capture the cool exciting sounds of 80’s California from where he resides in Manhattan. Check it out below!
