Dreamy and atmospherically paced “Epilogue” by bandanna is the kind of relaxed song you need to hear right after the holiday season. The soft vocal timbre and easy going vibes carry for most of the tune. An abrupt change adds excitement to “Epilogue” bringing it to a more engaging level. Although from Tallahassee the sonic qualities have a certain midwestern emo tinge to them. The Tallahassee-based indie pop band, bandanna, formed in 2018 around then-solo vocalist/guitarist Anna Griffith. After signing with Cat Family Records, Anna discovered the band’s bassist and drummer, Tim Holder and Nick Bell. A few months later, Mason Palanti joined on keyboard creating the current four-piece lineup.

bandanna combines intricate melodies with thoughtful lyrics creating a sound that evokes both Big Thief and Snail Mail in opening moments of “Ghost Home”.  In addition to forming a passionate local audience, They’ve opened for SALES, BRONCHO, Bay Faction, and the Happy Fits at Tallahassee’s nationally recognized indie venues including Club Downunder and the Wilbury. bandanna is guaranteed a loud, positive reaction wherever they’re playing with their upbeat,  funky indie tunes.

bandanna released their first collective band single “Fire Escape” in July of 2019, and quickly scored a spot on the Spotify curated Fresh Finds playlist less than a week after its release. The group is currently working on their upcoming album “uncertain/ty” to be released through Cat Family Records. Concerning everything from bicycles to anxiety to pet fish, the album is sure to impress, leaving listeners dreamy and nostalgic.
