Who doesn’t love the experience of putting a record on and listening first to last track?  For a lot of people music has devolved into just the singles from artists and we think that is wrong at Its Not Records.  I never would have found a lot of my favorite songs by artists if I didn’t decided to keep listening after the first song and I was raised to appreciate the B-sides as much as the radio hits.  There are so many incredible songs in the world that get overlooked for so many reasons; production, marketing, they get shelved, they’re made for production libraries, and the list goes on and on.  This section of the website is dedicated to preserving the integrity of the full length by giving readers a track by track of records we feel are worth writing about.  You won’t get the newest release from Columbia or Atlantic, here you’ll find mostly DIY artists or indie labels who are overlooked by others but not by us.  Thank you for reading and taking the time to appreciate the literature we produce around music.  The dedicated reader and listener transcend cultural boundaries and make the world a better place simply by existing in our viewpoints.
